Madison Junior Wins Truman
Monica Mukerjee (IR, psychology) has been awarded a 2007 Truman Scholarship.  She is one of 75 college juniors nationwide to receive the award. 
                                                
Madison Students Unveil Policy Solutions for Michigan’s Economy
James Madison students in Madison's Michigan Futures in the Global Economy research seminar will unveil policy solutions for Michigan’s economy at the capitol. The students were interviewed on Michigan Radio. To listen to the interview, click here.

MSU Championship Hockey Team has Madison Connection
Sophomore Nick Sucharski (IR) is a member of the MSU NCAA Hockey Championship team.  In the semifinal game against Maine, after Sucharski scored the third goal, MSU took the first lead of the game.  For a recap of the semifinal game and MSU hockey news: http://msuspartans.cstv.com/sports/m-hockey/recaps/040507aab.html

JMC Senior Going Around the World with $8,000
Madison senior Nick Micinski (IR) was awarded an $8,000 Around the World grant from the Michigan Circumnavigators' Foundation to travel and study Muslim "Diaspora,” or dispersion, and minority communities around the world.  The summer project will take him to seven countries on four continents to study. 

Madison Alumni Serve on the Hill as Congressional Chiefs of Staff
Madison alumni David Goldenberg (IR ’00) and Andy Keiser (PTCD ’99), both experienced staffers of U.S. Representatives, were recently appointed as chiefs of staff for their respective representative.  They were mentioned in Roll Call, the newspaper of Capitol Hill in Washington DC, and recognized their alma mater, James Madison College.  For the story: http://jmc.msu.edu/archive/hastings.pdf
