JMC Alumni welcome interns to DC

Please join your fellow James Madison College alumni on Thursday, July 15th to welcome Madison's summer semester interns to the Washington, DC area.

Details are below in the invitation sent to all 14 summer interns.  Contact information for alumni organizers Kathleen Romig and Noah Wofsy is provided along with a list of this summers interns and their placements.  We hope you can make it this Thursday!

Dear Madison Interns in DC (or, MIDs),

On behalf of all of the James Madison College alums here in Washington, I'd like to welcome all of you to our Nation's Capital. We hope you're enjoying your DC summer experience, and we're thrilled that so many of you are here to promote the good reputation of the College inside the Beltway.

...And speaking of promoting the good reputation of the College, fellow JMC alum Kathleen Romig and I are organizing a Happy Hour event for you next week. Please join us and other DC-area Madison alums next Thursday, July 15th, at the Capitol City Brewing Company, located across the street from Union Station in the Postal Square Building, at 2 Massachusetts Avenue NE.
(phone 202-842-BEER) You can meet some of the JMC alums who make Washington their home and see firsthand how Madisonians are directly involved in the work that goes on here in Washington in policy making, law, politics, and business. Even better, you can eat and drink for free, because we'll be picking up the tab for your beverages and bar snacks.

We will get started at 6:00 and continue until at least 7:30. Kathleen and I and the others will commandeer a couple of the high-top bar tables in the area adjacent to the main bar, so look for us in there. While this is far from a formal event, please try to let us know in advance if you plan on attending. If you have any questions or comments, please feel free to give me a call or drop me an email.

Looking forward to meeting all of you on the 15th!
